Hello! I am a wife, a mom, Jesus follower, book worm, and lover of adveture! I am a wedding photographer located in Denver and though I primarily shoot in Colorado, I am often taken over by wanderlust and am available for worldwide travel! I specialize in photographing joyful and adventurous couples that are head over heels in love! I love everything about weddings!! On this blog I will be sharing wedding inspiration, travel adventures, and personal stories. I love the creative side of what I do, but I also really enjoy the business aspect. Especially the marketing side! I will be sharing what I learn along the way as well!
When I met with Angela & Marshall in July I knew I just had to shoot their wedding… I was sold after chatting with them and learning how genuine and laid back they both were and THEN they told me that Marshall would be wearing his awesome sandals on their wedding day!! How cool is that?? I was thrilled when they booked me and couldn’t wait for their big day!
I couldn’t have imagined how amazing this day would be!
When I arrived and saw the big smile on Angela’s face I knew it was going to be awesome. THEN it got a million times better after Angela walked up behind Marshall and he turned around to see his gorgeous bride for the first time on their wedding day. His reaction was one of a kind and something I will not forget. The love and intense laughter that these two shared the entire day was incredible and such a joy to witness and capture.
Every wedding is amazing in it’s own way… This one will stick with me forever simply because of the true kindness that they share between each other and that overflows to those around them.
Their joy is simply contagious and I feel honored to have met them!!!!
Here is a just a small teaser from their wedding day yesterday. More to come very soon! 🙂
Kim and Jeremy had a stunningly beautiful wedding this past weekend at Della Terra Mountain Chateau in Estes Park, CO. Della Terra is one of the most beautiful wedding venues that I have ever worked at… The chateau is breathtaking and the surrounding area provides a gorgeous spot to exchange vows.
I love fall time and this lovely couple had a stunning wedding day! The yellow aspens leaves were vibrant and the sky was a piercing blue… Quite the gorgeous combination!
I had the pleasure of working with some of the most amazing vendors in Colorado…
Brigitte with Floral Design of Europe is one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met! She is kind and compassionate and not to mention an AMAZING florist! You give her a few details about what you are dreaming about for your flowers and she creates the most magical masterpieces that are far better than anything you had ever imagined!
Marci at Colorado Rose Cake Company is the BEST! She’s funny, light hearted, and had a heart of gold! Her cakes are THE BEST EVER! I have unfortunately had more wedding cake in my career than I would care to admit… and Marci makes the most delicious ones out of any cake I have ever had and her cream cheese dinner mints are to die for!!
It was so awesome meeting Nick and Brittany!! It was pretty crazy during the last few weeks leading up to their wedding… With all of the flooding in Estes Park and then Rocky Mountain National Park shutting down just days before their wedding. This would be enough to stress any couple out. However, each time I spoke to Brittany she was hopeful that it would all work out and wasn’t brought down by the possibility of things not going as planned. At one point she told me “at the end of the day we will be married”. I LOVE this in a bride and groom… When they are so wrapped up in the fact that they WILL be married and aren’t discouraged by the details… That’s what LOVE is about and Brittany and Nick truly get that!
They shared their vows at the beautiful Estes Park Resort.
I am in love with Brittany’s dress… The lace and beading is just stunning!!
I used to not be a huge fan of reveals/first looks when I first started doing them… Something about breaking tradition seemed strange to me and I loved the moment when the groom saw the bride walking down the aisle for the first time.. HOWEVER, that has drastically changed over the years and I have come to love this precious moment! Instead of it being in front of everyone with the possibility of nerves becoming distracting.. A couple chooses to have this intimate and precious moment in the presence of one another and no one else (well, except me:) ). The emotion that is shared in these few minutes is so beautiful! Now, that’s not to say I don’t still like it when a couple doesn’t see each other before the ceremony. It just means that I appreciate both and love capturing the emotion that each moment brings!
Nick’s face when he turned around and saw his beautiful bride was inspiring and truly a testimony to his love for her!
Fall is my favorite time of year… I love the chilly weather… wearing boots, sweaters, scarves and curling up reading a great book! I love love love the color of the leaves and the way the sun shines through them and creates rays of light! I am always super excited when I book up fall weddings! It’s just a magical time of year for me!
Originally we had planned to do a bunch of photos in Rocky Mountain National Park, but with the parks closure and some of Estes Park being inaccessible due to flooding and roads being unsafe we had some rearranging to do… I think the spot we chose was stunning!! There were aspens everywhere and an awesome view of Longs Peak!
Nick and Brittany had an awesome group of friends/family supporting them on their special day!
The colors that they chose complimented each other nicely and all of the details added so much!
Brittany and Nick had such an awesome wedding!!! I was honored to be apart of preserving that for them forever.
Their reception was such a blast! After the formal events were over they had a table with colorful hats, silly sunglasses, glow sticks and mustaches out for the guests to grab and dance the night away! Such an amazing event.
Kimberly & Robert were an absolute joy to work with! I loved Roberts face when he saw Kimberly walking down the aisle… It’s my favorite part of a wedding day! Kimberly did such an amazing job planning every detail of her wedding day and her decor was awesome! I love the pink and blue colors!
