Stanley Hotel Summer Wedding – Karen & Bryan
I had been looking for to Karen & Bryan’s Stanley Hotel Summer Wedding since meeting them in December in Denver at Union Station for their engagement session (CLICK HERE to view their Christmas shoot!) The station was decorated in stunning Christmas fashion and they were smiles the entire time! It was a blast working with them that day and it made me super excited to shoot their wedding and OH MY was it amazing!
The lovely couple exchanged vows at the Longs Peak Overlook at The Stanley Hotel. It is a truly magical spot for such a special event!
I couldn’t be happier for Karen and Bryan as they begin this new journey!!
Enjoy some of my favorites from their special day…

Look at these details!! I was swooning over them the entire evening!
The Concert Hall at The Stanley Hotel is one of my very favorite room to shoot in! Look at all that gorgeous natural light!
I love the first dance shared between a new husband and wife! It is truly romantic!
Some words from the bride…
How did you meet?
We met at the Atomic Cowboy on East Colfax in Denver about 3 and a half years ago. I was there watching a Broncos football game and he was there for a friend’s birthday party. He and a friend came up to our table to talk and they ended up getting two of our phone numbers, and the rest is history!
How did you get engaged?
We got engaged at Sprague Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. My parents have a nearby cabin and we’ve hiked between the cabin and Sprague Lake many times in the past. Last summer, he woke me up early one morning to go “fishing” at the lake. When we arrived at the lake we walking around it, and next thing I knew he was down on one knee on one of the outcroppings by the lake!
What made you choose The Stanley Hotel to host your wedding?
We knew we wanted to get married in Estes Park. My parents scouted many venues for us and The Stanley stood out to them from all the others. Also, the views of Longs’ Peak are unforgettable!
Did you enjoy wedding planning?
We did enjoy wedding planning (although it was a lot of work!). But in the end, I think the fact that we put so much time and effort into it really made it ours – the ceremony and reception were exactly what we wanted and all the personal touches will definitely stick in my memory forever. Favorite parts – of course cake tasting, running around stores with the little scanner thing registering for stuff, and pinteresting for thousands of hours.
We’d love to thank our family and friends for all their support both of us, but also their support at the wedding and helping out with odd jobs. We could never have done it without them! – Karen & Bryan
