I am a total sucker for Christmas, weddings and The Stanley Hotel… So what could be more magical that an a stanley hotel christmas wedding???
The Stanley is gorgeous all year, but there is something extra special about it at Christmas time. The quietness in the air and sparkling snow on the ground, not to mention the numerous beautifully decorated Christmas trees that adorn the historic hotel…. It is one of my very favorite venues for a winter wedding.
Kari and Brent were a lovely couple… both extremely genuine, kindhearted, and welcoming. They were surrounded by family and close friends at their intimate stanley hotel christmas wedding.
One of my favorite parts of a wedding to photograph is when the bride is getting ready… She is always so excited in anticipation for the magical moments that are about to take place. I love the candid and raw emotion that is exchanged during the moments leading up to a wedding. Kari got ready with her two lovely daughters. It was a beautiful sequence of moments to witness as both ladies helped their bride-to-be mom get dressed and ready to see her groom for the first time on their wedding day. It was one for the books…
Another favorite for me at weddings is the first look! When the groom stands facing away as his blushing bride approaches him for the first time to reveal the beauty that she is on their very special day… There is nothing like those first few seconds when he turns around and is speechless and in awe of her beauty.
