I was thrilled when Abby reached out to me to do a mini session with her and her husband at the Cherry Creek Reservoir!
I met Abby at The Grove, a young adults ministry at my church. When we first started saying “hello” she was always so kind and genuine. After awhile our conversations grew longer and I knew I was going to like this girl! She has a true heart for others and is always smiling! The joy in others can truly be a contagious thing… That’s how it is with Abby – she is always laughing and smiling and you can’t help but feel more joyful when you are around her!
I scouted out a spot at the Cherry Creek Reservoir that I thought would be nice for their session. I loved the light coming in from behind the trees and the tall wispy grass… I love shooting in new spots and looking for that ‘perfect’ location. It’s like a treasure hunt!
I couldn’t be happier with the way this session turned out! Abby and Jon were incredibly candid and emotional – I LOVED it! They were full of laughter the entire time… Jon was saying the absolute sweetest things about and to Abby and her giggle was magical! I love everything about love and the joy that it radiates in people!
I’m sure you’ll see what I mean simply by looking at the images below… You can FEEL their joy! I love it!
Towards the end of their session the sun was starting to set… This is favorite time of day. It’s always a mystery as to what color the sky will turn and how dramatic the clouds will be. I also love getting silhouette shots with sunsets in the background. So, of course I was thrilled when the sky started turning these amazingly deep shades of blue!
