Hello! I am a wife, a mom, Jesus follower, book worm, and lover of adveture! I am a wedding photographer located in Denver and though I primarily shoot in Colorado, I am often taken over by wanderlust and am available for worldwide travel! I specialize in photographing joyful and adventurous couples that are head over heels in love! I love everything about weddings!! On this blog I will be sharing wedding inspiration, travel adventures, and personal stories. I love the creative side of what I do, but I also really enjoy the business aspect. Especially the marketing side! I will be sharing what I learn along the way as well!
I love shooting weddings at Wild Basin Lodge!! The lodge and property are absolutely breathtaking. The sky is limit with places to take photos! Denice, Nils and all of the wonderful people who run the lodge are incredible – they make you feel like family! It truly is an amazing wedding venue. I am so excited that Erica and Josh chose to have their wedding at Wild Basin – it fits them so well! Continue reading “wild basin lodge summer wedding – Erica & Josh”
Chipping Campden is a charming small town in the Northern Cotswolds of England that dates back to the 14th century. It was absolutely magical.. Like something right out of a fairytale! The stone cottages that were covered with the most beautiful blooming flowers and vines were truly breathtaking. When we left Oxford we decided to take somewhat of a detour in the opposite direction from where we needed to be that evening in order to visit this adorable village – thanks to Pinterest for teasing us with such charming photos! We only had about an hour and half to wander the streets and we made the most of it! Continue reading “Charming English Cotswolds”
Oxford was a lovely little town.. It was on our route after leaving York. We got there in the evening and checked into our bed and breakfast that we had booked two nights before! We had everything set for lodging before we left for Europe except for our one night in Oxford… There were so many awesome places to stay in Oxford, but they were a bit out of budget and we just kept pushing this to the back burner… Until we were about to leave Edinburgh and realized we needed somewhere to stay! After much research Julia found a Bed and Breakfast for a great price! We were stoked and booked it right away. We weren’t exactly sure what to expect, but it was a nice little place… Very minimalistic, but charming! The shower was so small that you needed to turn off the water in order to soap up and then could turn it back on to rinse off! Ha ha. It was great… It’s always little quirky things that make places so memorable for me. The breakfast was also very delicious! Continue reading “Oxford England”
Scotland was magical. It was incredibly enchanting and I was sad to be leaving! The green rolling hills full of fluffy sheep was such a peaceful sight. It really did create a picture of Psalm 23 for me…
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Though we were leaving such an amazing place I was very excited about out next adventures through England! We had planned a few stops during our time there and the first was York, England!
Bree and Derek had a beautiful intimate summer wedding at the Wild Basin Lodge. They said their i do’s in the lovely meadow with their close friends and family by their side. The joy that radiated from the both of them was truly magical. The weather was amazing and it was simply a perfect day. A perfect wedding day. They were such a genuinely kind couple that made me feel welcomed right away! I am constantly blown away by the incredible people that I am blessed enough to meet doing this job. We spent 3 nights in Edinburgh and it wasn’t nearly enough…
We had planned to drive to our hostel and figure out parking once we got there. However, when we drove around the area where our hostel was located we realized that parking was going to difficult. We stopped outside and Ryan ran into our hostel to ask about parking in the area…. When he asked the receptionist she laughed at his question! Apparently there is zero places to park in the area. We had found this hostel in an awesome location that was super close to all of the Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile… But the downside was that we were in the busy district of the city with no parking. We found a parking garage not very far away BUT it cost £19 per day! That’s pretty much a hotel for the car! We decided that was ridiculous, so resourceful Ernest found a free place that we could park the car right outside the city and take a bus back in, What a relief! Once that was settled we headed to bed in order to start over the next day and explore Edinburgh!!
